-         Coordinator of the EUCompEcs Research Network on the project "The economic analysis of structural and institutional change as an integrated dynamic process. A Computable Economics Approach", with participant laboratories in Pisa, Milan, Sophia-Antipolis, Magdeburg, Manchester and Valencia. The Network was funded by the European Commission within the Human Capital and Mobility Programme, and was extended to Economics Institutes in Prague, Budapest, and Warsaw as one of the measures of the PHARE Programme.

-         Coordinator of the joint research project on "Structural change in Japan, Italy and U.K.: a long run perspective", with the International Center for Economics and Related Disciplines, London, financed with a grant by the National Research Councils of Italy and U.K.

-         Coordinator of the Siena-based  research group in a multi-University network of research units on "Technological change and its economic impact", centrally coordinated by M. Amendola of the University of Rome, and funded with a grant by the Italian Ministry of Education.
